Capel United Church is hosting this event for the community in support of Christian Aid.
Food and fun for all ages - come for the whole time or just pop in.
Donations will be sought for Christian Aid which aims:
- to expose poverty throughout the world
- to help in practical ways to end it
- to highlight, challenge and change the structures and systems that favour the rich and powerful over the poor and marginalised.
Thy Kingdom Come
26th May to 9th June 2019
Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come, on earth as in heaven.
Thy Kingdom Come is a global prayer initiative led by the Archbishop of Canterbury who is inviting everyone to pray in whatever way they can, with whoever they want and wherever they can. The focus is based on the Lord’s Prayer.
Prayer is something many of us turn to in times of worry even if we are not regular Church attenders. We can all learn new and inspiring ways to undertake this time of conversation with God – it is not just a case of ‘hands together, and eyes closed’
Throughout the two weeks that will be a range of differing opportunities based on prayer for you to participate in at All Saints Church Tudeley. This will include Prayer Stations inside the church as well as a Prayer Trail in the church grounds. So bring a flask of tea or coffee and some biscuits, then, after looking at the Stations or undertaking the trail, sit and enjoy the peace of nature, on what we hope will be warmer days.
